Do Madura teas contain Tannin?
Share
All teas do in fact contain tannin (the beautiful colouring chemistry in tea). Tannic ‘acid’ though is predominant in the bark and branches of trees, and is used to tan and soften leather. This is where misunderstanding sometimes lies - many tea consumers can confuse tea tannins with tannic acid, believing the two were the same. They are not, the former is very beneficial to one's health whilst the latter is negative. All our teas are cleaned so only the tea leaf is contained within our product, all stem and branch fibre is removed to ensure there is no presence of such material.
