How To Make Tea Latte

If you are looking for something pure and bursting with a unique flavour that is super delicious and easy to whip up, then can we tempt you with a tea latte? A tea latte is a delightful brew that's equal parts tea and steamed milk. Just like its cousin - a cafe latte, a tea latte has a foamy topping of frothed milk.
Typically a tea latte is made on a black tea base (Madaura Tea Chai works perfectly) - however, you can use any strong tea. Of course, if you have a favourite, then make that your brew of choice! The type of milk you choose to use in your latte is equally up to you; however, we do suggest fresh and avoiding light or reduced-fat versions - the fat helps to make the frothiest foam! The secret to getting a flavourful latte? Brew your tea in a little bit of water, giving the flavours time to develop and release their gorgeous flavours before adding the milk!

Here's what you will need:

  • Madura Loose Leaf, tea bags or infusers
  • Milk
  • Sweetener - any kind works, sugar, brown sugar or honey
  • Water
  • Milk frother
Step 1: Brew your tea; if you're making one cup, use one bag (2 if you are chasing a stronger brew) and only fill the water to approx 1/3 of the cup. Stir in sweetener whilst the water is hot. Follow packet instructions for brewing times. Step 2: Whilst the tea is brewing, froth up 1/2 a cup of milk. An electric milk frother always works best - It perfectly heats the milk and froths all at once. However, you can also use a french press - just remember to heat the milk prior gently. Step 3: To assemble your latte, pour in tea first and then the frothed milk.

Steep. Sip. Enjoy
