Simple Springtime Cocktails
Classic Iced Tea
When the weather warms and something cold and refreshing is in order, chill a pot of peppermint tea with 100mls of fresh orange juice and a bit of sugar for the sweet tooth. Serve with ice cubes and lemon wedges for an instant burst of cooling freshness.
Chilled Gin Tea
- ¼ cup Gin
- 4 cups water
- 4 bags of Madura Peppermint Tea
- 5 tbsp sugar
Bring the water to a boil, remove from the heat and add the tea bags.
Cover and set aside for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar.
Refrigerate until chilled, or leave overnight.
Add the gin just before serving and serve over ice with a garnish of mint, lemon and lime slices.
Minted Vodka Cooler
- 2 Madura Peppermint tea bags
- 100ml boiled water
- 50ml vodka
- 1tbsp honey
Place the Peppermint tea bags in the boiled water and let steep for 5 minutes.
Refrigerate to cool.
Combine the remaining ingredients and serve over ice garnished with mint and a wedge of lime or lemon if desired.
